On March of 2017 the Association members: Layher Baltic Ltd., Prorentus Ltd. and Verslo Aljansas Ltd. visited “Lithuanian Builders Association” as the “Baltic Scaffolders Association” representatives.

BSA presented their initiative – scaffolding assemblers training and certification scheme.

In this scheme, scaffolding qualification is divided into different levels, respectively entitling them to perform different scaffolding operations.

Workers whose qualifications are approved can receive special scaffolding cards.

LSA is developing an initiative to create a large-scale training, competency assessment and recognition scheme in the whole Lithuanian construction sector.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of workers’ competence development in the field of work safety.

It underlined the need for training schemes to focus on preventive health-protection measures.

In addition, preventive measures are required in terms of misused tools or mechanisms that can cause significant and costly damage.
